Day 18 - Painting on Bread

Painting is always fun but know how to make it even better? When you can eat your masterpiece when you're finished!

There's two ways to do this. The first is easy and gives you lots of colour options (great for teaching mixing colours) but it's not quite as healthy.

Mix a few drops of food colouring in a small bowl of milk.

And use cotton buds to paint on your bread! Fun way to practice writing letters!

The second option uses fruit to colour the milk! Much healthier (and tastier!). Raspberries and milk make a lovely pastel pink paint, perfect for hearts!

Then pop the bread in the toaster (be careful not to let the bread get too soggy while you're painting!).

Spread some butter on them while they're still hot and it melts right in without ruining your picture. Perfect raining day snack. :)

What other healthy paint could we make...

Things I've learnt:
- raspberry milk is delicious! :)
- I may need to practice my painting skills and progress a little past letters and shapes..
